Love this place.
my first visit there (mays landing office) the physician's assistant pretended to take my blood pressure and wrote down 120/80 (i have chronic hypertension) and did not even pretend to retake it when i questioned the result. the doctor was considerate during the routine portion of the visit but during a less routine procedure she hurt me, and when i called twice in the following months for advice on healing the injury i felt brushed off. during a second visit a different doctor was very unprofessional and definitely brushed me off.
The worst medical care I ever received, at both the Somers Point and Mays Landing offices. They denied me for maternity leave and I was approved by my employers. They told me to get unemployment and I wasn't eligible for that either because I'm still actively employed and was recommended by the state to apply for maternity leave. My job stopped giving me work because I'm pregnant and can't perform what they need me to do because it's physical work with a lot of lifting and bending (I'm a home health aide.) So, somers manor told me what "I'M DOING" is illegal and they will not put me out on maternity leave so that they could "break the law." Save your money and go somewhere else that actually cares about your well being and your baby. The whole experience was terrible for doctor visits, many doctors were impersonal and treated you like you were just any old patient they had to see. Did not give me any insight about my health or my baby's health. They made comments about my weight, suggesting I would give my baby gestational diabetes. They gave me the run around about my insurance coverage, making it very difficult to get set up with the right arrangement and we're fighting my Horizon coverage to be used. I transferred my care at 35 weeks to Cooper OBGYN in Cherry Hill, NJ and couldn't be more pleased with their professionalism and willingness to help me. I'm so happy I'll never have to step foot in that office again and be degraded by their staff, management, and doctors. There were a few members of their staff and doctors that were nice but they were honestly better than that facility and did not belong there. Also, their phone service was a nightmare. Leave a message there, they will never call you back. Keep calling them, they will ignore your calls. If I could give 0 stars I would. There is more I could write on this review about what they did to me. Do not seek this facility for obstetrics care, they make your pregnancy seem like a joke.
my sister is happy with the somers point office, but i will not be returning to either office.
