I was very pleased!
During my visit, I was extremely pleased. The doctor was very professional, and thorough with my care. He ensured that each issue was addressed, and that I left with any questions answered. I was surprised that the doctor personally made my follow-up, ordered my labs, scheduled my surgery and handed me all of this information rather than an impersonal check-out where the individual knows nothing about me, and they have to chase down the doctor to find out what he meant (trust me I've had this experience numerous times!).
Overall I’m satisfied. Dr. Spence discussed all my treatment options and answered all my questions. A lot of information at once (and wasn’t quite prepared for what he told me.
Please be advised that if a negative review is posted, the patient will receive a certified letter informing them that they will no longer be treated by any doctor in this practice.. Patients should know this before they RATE & REVIEW. This was the first review I have ever posted for a medical service.. I was a bit upset when I posted it. I thought my initial exam would at least include a repeat urine test but I was told to return to my family doctor. That didn't make sense to me. I have deleted my initial review. In retrospect, I realize it was not a good idea; however, I am surprised and a bit offended at how the situation was handled. The office could have followed up with a phone call. I did not even see the response with a phone number until after I received the certified letter; otherwise, I would have called and probably requested a different physician in the practice. Instead they chose to cut off a patient without any further investigation. So basically, if someone expresses unhappiness with one doctor in the practice because maybe it just wasn't a good personality match, the entire practice just dumps them instead of making any effort to rectify the situation. This is a pretty cold and strange approach to ensuring patient satisfaction.
Edit: After posting this review the practice sent me a certified letter stating that they terminated my patient relationship. In the letter as well as a phone call I made to verify, I was told that I called and canceled my appointment. I never did any such thing. What actually happened was that because of my 1 star poor review, they were offended or upset at the review and decided to cancel my relationship and future appointment which I need to find out my results. Attached is a picture of the letter. So if you don't want to be cut off from their service DO NOT leave a negative review otherwise you will have to go to another practice. In my opinion this is very unprofessional and will only hurt their practice. I think this is a cowardly attempt to not make a face to face appearance by the doctors. My suggestion is to use another urology office.
I was pleasantly surprised with my entire experience from check in to leaving. There are many reviews regarding the dreaded kiosks, but surprisingly a nice lady was able to help me through it (although it was much easier than I expected from reading prior reviews). I almost had nightmares when I read the reviews ahead of time, but I had multiple of my colleagues re-assure me that the care is outstanding.
This office never answer their phones. When I needed them to put in a referral to see another specialist they told me to pack sand and get my primary doctor to request the authorization. These people are lazy and don't want to help you out. Never going there again. The doctors are also non-shelant with their attitude. Not a professional place. I don't recommend them at all.
Must be on time or early or forget it. They dump you....don't know yet how to rate because I need to see how the meds and follow up go. I'm really concerned tho reading all these awful reviews. I thought they got me an appt rather quickly and were not rude ever. Just a very busy office. Time will tell with how I'm feeling about the practice but so far I can't really say anything wonderful nor anything awful. I'm concerned about the bad reviews tho.
