I am a member for over a year. I work outdoor all year long and travel constantly for Work. My job requires me to be out in extreme weather and my skin was suffering. I went in for a massage and added a facial. The esthetician helped me calm my skin and gave me products to help heal it. Every esthetician I have had always give me great relaxing treatments. I like that I can add foot and hand treatments to my facials when I need to. Building Cell Towers in extreme weather can beat your body up. The scalp treatment always puts me to sleep. They all know my history and every season have my products ready. I don't even have to think about it. The front desk is always pleasant and I feel immediately relaxed. The spa is clean and new. It's very impressive that everyone that works there knows my name and always greets me. I look forward to my services every month. Plus it's so close to home and I can make appointments easily everytime I call. Most convenient and accommodating place around me.
If I could give this Hand and Stone a 0 I would. I have an allergy to latex and had made sure to mention that to my esthetician. I came in for a consultation and she thought the bio active peel was the best option for me. I went along and had one treatment and was raw and burned in two places. I returned, thinking it was from my acne medicine. And after it had healed enough, (according to my esthetician) we continued with the peel, (as I did see good results on the rest of my face). After the second one the burns came back and I also had severely dried out skin. I have now come to find out that latex is in the peel. A form of latex is derived from the Papaya enzyme(the ingredient). Therefore, I decided to call and cancel the appointment for my next peel. A couple minutes later, the lead esthetician called asking why I decided to cancel my appointment. I told her that I felt like I had an allergy to the papaya because of my latex allergy. She responded "there is no papaya in this peel and that there was no documentation of my allergy." The hand stone I have been seeing now looked into my files and it is DEFINITELY documented that I am allergic. The ingredients were also checked and PAPAYA is also definitely in the peel. On top of that, The bio active after care kit was never mentioned to me, which is required at other spas. I do believe that caused some of my healing problem as well. I am super infuriated and will never step foot in this Hand and Stone ever again!
Worst massage ive ever had. Literally felt like she didnt even touch me.
I just moved to this area and am 15. I asked my mom to let me have a facial because my skin broke out a bit this summer and I didn't know what to do . I went to this spa and met Sandy. After my mom and I spoke with her I had a facial . She taught me so much about my skin. She was very nice and she knew I was nervous. My skin felt so much better and I was super happy with the facial. My mom was with me and Sandy also spoke with my mom and helped us find products to help my skin. My mom and I also had our brows waxed. I was scared but it was perfect . I want my mom to have facial next. We will both be back to see Sandy because she was so helpful, kind, and compassionate to us both.
I have been to this location many times and have always had a great experience!! I get a facial monthly with sandy and she is excellent. She always listens to the concerns I have and answers all of my questions. She’s very knowledgeable and honest as well. I’ve had many facials before and she’s by far the best I’ve ever had the chance of experiencing. I will definitely continue to receive my facials every month at this location with sandy !
